Taylor Swift Creates Music History: Four Albums In Billboard Top 10

The renowned Blank Space singer has achieved a remarkable feat, becoming the first female artist to have four albums simultaneously chart in the Billboard Top 10 list. This milestone was officially announced by Billboard on a Sunday, following the release of her latest album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), which dropped on July 7. Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) represents the third instalment in her series of re-recorded albums, following the releases of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version). Debuting at the top position on the Billboard 200 chart, it added yet another flamboyant feather to her illustrious music career.

At the time of this achievement, Taylor Swift had three other albums featured in the top 10 positions of the list. Midnights, released in October 2022, secured the number 5 spot, while her 2019 album Lover held the number 7 position, and her 2020 release Folklore took the number 10 spot. This extraordinary feat is even more notable as only three artists, including Taylor Swift, have accomplished it in Billboard history. Back in 1966, musician Herb Alpert achieved a similar milestone with four albums in the top 10.

With an impressive 716,000 album-equivalent units, which combines digital, physical sales, and streaming figures, the album solidified Taylor Swift’s position as a chart-topping force. Notably, this album marked her 12th time achieving the number 1 position on the Billboard chart, setting a new record for the most number 1 albums held by a female artist, surpassing musician Barbra Streisand.
