Pune, 11th January 2025: In preparation for the Army Day parade, temporary traffic diversions have been implemented in various areas of Pune, including Yerwada, Vishrantwadi, and Khadki. The diversions will be in effect from 7 am to 11 am daily, starting from Saturday, 11th January, through Wednesday, 15th January.

Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police, Amol Zende, has urged commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes to avoid disruptions.

The following traffic changes have been announced:

– Traffic from Shadalbaba Chowk to Kharadi via Chandrama Chowk is closed. Drivers are advised to take the Ambedkar Chowk, Alandi Junction, and Sapras Juna Holkar Bridge route instead.

– The route from Vishrantwadi to Khadki via Holkar Bridge is also closed. Alternate routes include Vishrantwadi, Sapras Old Holkar Bridge, or Shadalbaba, Sangamwadi, and Patil Estate.

– Traffic from Bopodi Chowk to Khadki Bazaar, Church Chowk, and General Cariappa Road towards Metalik Church, Arjun Road from Pachwad Chowk, and Holkar Bridge towards Yerwada and Vishrantwadi will be diverted via Wakdewadi Patil Estate.

– Access to Aathmula Road from Poultry Farm Chowk Poultry Underpass is restricted. Drivers will need to proceed via Wakdewadi, Patil Estate-Sangamwadi, and Shadalbaba Road.

Motorists are urged to follow the alternative routes to ensure smoother traffic flow during this period.
