Ten per cent houses for police in housing schemes : CM Uddhav Thackeray

Thane Feb 6, 2020 : Stating that 10 per cent houses in the Government housing schemes would be kept reserved for police force, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that despite the fact that Thane has transformed, people of Thane are simple and loving which is why his Government is committed to overall development of Thane.

He was addressing the gathering after foundation laying ceremony of various projects of Thane Municipal Corporation. Guardian Minister and minister for Urban Development Eknath Shinde, Minister for housing development Jitendra Avhad, Minister for environment Aaditya Thackeray, Mayor Naresh MHaske, MP Rajan Vichare, MLA Pratap Sarnaik, divisional commissioner Shivaji Daund, collector Rajesh Narvekar and commissioner of police Vivek Fansalkar were present.

The attractive memorial of Shivsena Pramukh Balasaheb Thackeray was thrown open to public today and chief minister also laid foundation of cluster development phase 1 along with releasing coffee table book of TMC titled Pathadarshi Vikasachi Thane. Thane Global impact hub was inaugurated online by him while under smart city project coastal beach development along Kalwa- Parsik, Kolshet, Waghol, Balkum-Saket, Kopri, Shastrinagar, Nalabunder. Shivsena Pramukh Balasaheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana, solid waste management and power generation from it was e-inaugurated by Chief Minister. Laadki Lek scheme beneficiaries were handed over subsidy and Construction debris process plant as well as urban forest were laid foundation and science center as well as cluster development foundation laying was done today.

Chief minister said that cluster scheme would provide permanent houses and he was reminded of his father late Balasaheb Thackeray as well as late Anand Dighe while inaugurating projects in Thane. He said that houses would be kept reserved for police in all the schemes. He said that because of love by Thanekars he has become chief minister.

Mayor Narendra Mhase in his opening remarks said that Thane would grow at a speed and expressed the hope that employment generating projects would be received by the TMC. Eknath Shinde said that his leader Uddhav Thackeray was visiting Thane city as a chief minister for the first time and he was welcoming him as guardian minister. He said that police housing colonies which are delapidated in Thane need redevelopment and there is a need to run SRA schemes in MMRDA areas. He said that slum free scheme needs to be implemented everywhere and there would not be any discrimination in delapidated and unauthorized buildings. He said that Thane pattern of cluster development would be implemented everywhere.

Avhad said that cluster scheme was started from MUmbra and Koliwada as well as Gavthan areas need to be given justice from this scheme and in Thane also unde SRA we should give 300 sq. feet houses. He said that under cluster scheme locals need to be given priority and 27 acres of landpiece in Thane district needs to be given for bird sanctuary.

Flat stalls distributed

In TMC areas, various schemes are being implemented for overall development of differently abled and under BSUP scheme, representive flat and stall distribution was done during this program. Destitute orphan children and HIV positive children of HIV parents are being given financial assistance under one scheme which was distributed during this program for representative beneficiaries. Various dignitaries were resent for the program.
