Kashmir: Man From Uttar Pradesh Killed In Terrorist Attack In Pulwama District

Jammu and Kashmir, 30th October 2023: On Monday, tragedy struck in Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir, as a resident of Uttar Pradesh, Mukesh Singh, fell victim to a terrorist attack. The incident occurred around 12:45 pm in the Rajpora area, where Mukesh Singh was shot, as reported by a police official.

This attack marked the second act of terrorism within the Kashmir Valley in the past 24 hours. Prior to this, terrorists had critically injured a police officer in the Eidgah area of Srinagar. Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani was shot three times while engaging in a game of cricket with locals at the Eidgah ground.

Following the attack on the officer in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir Police chief Dilbag Singh urged caution among the police force. He emphasized that threats still loom, emphasizing the need for vigilance in light of incidents like the assault on the officer while he was enjoying a game of cricket. Singh expressed hope for the officer’s recovery, emphasizing that he had been targeted while engaging in a recreational activity.

Addressing the potential motives behind such attacks, Jammu and Kashmir Police chief Dilbag Singh alluded to external elements, without explicitly naming Pakistan. He noted that the neighboring country has historically sought to disrupt peace in the region, irrespective of election periods. Singh commended the collective efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with support from other forces and the community, in countering these disruptive intentions, expressing confidence in their continued success.
