Tesla CEO Elon Musk Says, “Twitter Deal Temporarily In Hold”

International, 13th May 2022: Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on Friday, May 13 that the Twitter agreement is put on hold. According to Bloomberg, Twitter shares plunged 11% pre-market after Musk’s comment.

 

This comes after Musk tweeted Reuters’s report and said, ” Twitter deal temporarily on hold pending details supporting calculation that spam/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of users.”

 

 

On April 25, Twitter ultimately decided to sell itself to Tesla CEO Elon Musk for $54.20 per share, ending weeks of speculation. The transaction was expected to finalise later this year, subject to regulatory approval and shareholder approval.
