TET: 7,800 Ineligible Candidates Passed With Bribe In Teacher Eligibility Test, Pune Police Arrest Two More Agents

Pune, 19th February 2022: The cyber police station of Pune city police have arrested two agents for their alleged involvement in the teacher eligibility test (TET) scam.

The arrested persons have been identified as Deepak Vikram Bhusari (32) of Ayodhya Nagar in Buldhana and Rajendra Vinayak Solunke (52) of Nandgaon in Nashik district.

According to police, the agents took money from ineligible candidates and handed it over to senior officials who have been arrested in the case earlier. An investigation has revealed that 7,800 ineligible candidates in the Maharashtra state were declared eligible by taking money from them.

The investigation is being carried by a team comprising ACP Vijaykumar Palsule, Senior Police Inspector DS Hake, API Bhalerao, Kadir Deshmukh, Sub-Inspector Waghmare, Sagar Padwal and police personnel Praveen Rajput, Saurabh Ghate, Aadesh Chalwadi.
