The journey of Centennial Year: A National conference of SNDT Arts and Commerce College
The SNDT Arts and Commerce College for Women, Karve Road, Pune, a constituent College of the SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, is celebrating its Centennial Year 2015-16. To commemorate this important milestone in its history, the College has planned many programmes.
One of the programmes is a two day National Conference on 11 and 12 March 2016 organised by the Dept. of Commerce of the College on “Young India 2030: Emerging Economic, Social, Academic Issues and Challenges”. The conference will give a platform to many academicians, experts and practitioners of different disciplines.
By 2025, India will be in the ‘demographic bonus’ phase where the growth rate of working-age population exceeds that of total population. This change will certainly attract the investors and also bring some issues and challenges for us to face.
The conference aims at identifying and understanding issues and challenges in front of Young India with reference to Economic Growth, Modern Society, and Challenges of Higher Education.
