Three College Youths Arrested In Pune With 56 Kilograms Ganja
Pune, 19th June 2023: Three college going students who came from Gadchiroli district to sell ganja were arrested by the anti-narcotics squad of the Pune crime branch on Sunday from Pune-Ahmednagar Road area. 56 kg of ganja worth 11 lakh, 70 thousand rupees has been seized from these students.
The detained individuals have been identified as Ram Rajesh Bais (20) and Nikesh Pitambar Anole (22) from Gadchiroli, and Hrithik Kailas Tembhurne (21) from Bhandara district. An FIR has been registered against them at Chandannagar police station.
According to Senior Police Inspector Sunil Thopte, the personnel of the Anti-Narcotics Squad-2 of the Crime Branch were on patrol in Kharadi area on Sunday. At that time police constables Chetan Gaikwad and Ravindra Rokde got information that three men from Gadchiroli were coming to Chandannagar area to sell ganja. Accordingly, the police team laid a trap and detained the three.
During the search, they found marijuana. The police have seized 55 kg of ganja and a mobile phone.
