Lonavala, 22nd January 2025: A three-day block has commenced on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway starting today, January 22, to facilitate the installation of bridge girders near kilometer 58/500 within the Kusgaon limits. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has undertaken this initiative, with work scheduled to be carried out from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. daily until January 24.

To ensure the work is completed efficiently, traffic heading from Mumbai to Pune will be diverted during the block hours. Vehicles will be rerouted from Valvan to Varsoli Toll Plaza via Dehu Road and the old Mumbai-Pune highway. The expressway will reopen for regular traffic after 3 p.m. each day. Importantly, there are no changes to the traffic flow from Pune to Mumbai, which will remain unaffected throughout the block.

Alternative Routes and Guidelines:
Mumbai to Pune Traffic: Between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., use the old Mumbai-Pune highway from Valvan to Varsoli Toll Plaza.
Pune to Mumbai Traffic: No changes have been made; traffic will flow smoothly on the expressway.
Post-Block Traffic: The expressway will be fully operational again after 3 p.m. daily.
