Three Police Officers From Pune Among 39 From Maharashtra Awarded President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service
Pune 14th August 2023: The Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday announced the list of police officers who will be awarded with police medals this year on the occasion of Independence Day 2023. Among these three officers from Pune were also awarded the Police Medal for their meritorious service.

This includes Vyankatesh Sidram Palakurti, Police Sub Inspector (PSI) of Pune, Pradip Namdev Rangade, Police Inspector and Mohan Bhanudas Dongare, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of ATS’s Pune unit.
A total of 954 awardees were announced including President’s Police Medal for Gallantry (PPMG awarded to 01 CRPF personnel, Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG) to 229, President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPM) to 82 and Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PM) been awarded to 642 personnel.
