Thunderstorm Alert for Pune and Raigad: IMD Issues Nowcast Warning
Pune/Raigad, 28th May 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai, has issued a nowcast warning for isolated parts of Pune and Raigad districts. The alert, released at 1:00 PM IST today, forecasts thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rainfall over the next 3 to 4 hours.
According to the IMD, gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph are also expected during this weather event. Residents in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions while stepping out.
