To eradicate corruption the common people should be part of an honest system – Piyush Goyal
Mumbai, November 26, 2016 : The demonetization decision is a well thought out decision by the Government of India, said Union Minister of Power Mr. Piyush Goyal while participating in an interactive meeting on “Future of the Indian Economy after demonetization” at the Bombay Stock Exchange in Mumbai today.
He emphasized that the Government will ensure that those at the bottom of pyramid will have access to resources. The demonetization decision is a direct attack on corruption, terrorism and black money.
Countering the criticism of opposition the Minister said that the GDP is bound to grow, he said that since this is a big bang reform the opposition is spreading rumors and he requested the people not to believe in rumors. He urged the people to pay their taxes and he informed that the government is trying that GST will be applicable from April. The need of hour is changing the mindset that nothing can be done without corruption.
He lamented that whatever the government is doing for the benefit of the poor is stalled by black marketing and corruption. He said that it is the endeavor of the government to strengthen the economy and to strengthen honest business practices.
