To Streamline Solid Waste Management In Pune, PMC Approves Rs 18.58 Crore Tender For Computerised System

Pune, 30th September 2021: The Standing Committee of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) today approved a tender of Rs 18.58 crore for a computerised system to be developed to streamline the day to day operations of the Solid Waste Management Department.

 

The system will coordinate the work of sweeping in the city, door-to-door garbage collection, waste transportation management, waste processing, scientific landfill projects, various types of waste management, public and commercial toilets, etc. Necessary modules and required hardware for attendance, contracting, billing, GPS system, RFID, smart watches will be provided by the Solid Waste Management Department.

 

About Rs 11 crore 76 lakh will be provided by Smart City for this system and about Rs 6 crore 81 lakh will be provided from the funds received under the 15th Finance Commission. From this fund, all the hardware required for the system in Aundh, Baner, Balewadi as well as software for the entire city, mobile application will be developed.
