Pune, 19th October 2026: Traffic arrangements in Market Yard and along Pune-Satara Road have been temporarily modified due to the ongoing underground metro construction between Swargate and Katraj.

The changes came into effect on Monday, October 19, on a trial basis and will remain in force until further orders to help ease congestion in the affected areas, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Dr Sandeep Bhajibhakre.

Motorists travelling through Pushpamangal Chowk, Utsav Hotel Chowk and nearby roads will have to follow revised turning restrictions and designated U-turns.

Vehicles arriving via Chandralok Chowk and heading towards Pushpamangal Chowk will not be allowed to turn right towards Swargate or Market Yard/Utsav Hotel.

Motorists must turn left and take a U-turn near Aranyeshwar bus stop, opposite the Tanishq showroom, before proceeding towards Swargate.

2. Vehicles passing through Pushpamangal Chowk
Vehicles will not be permitted to turn right from Pushpamangal Chowk towards Market Yard or Utsav Hotel Chowk.

Motorists should proceed ahead and take a U-turn near Adinath Society before continuing towards their destinations.

Traffic Police Appeal to Motorists
