Pune/ Mumbai, 9th October 2023: In a bid to expedite the construction of crucial overpasses on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced a temporary traffic diversion plan. The two major projects involve the installation of gantries on the expressway, one at Km 45/000 near the Amrutanjan Bridge in Pune, and the other at Km 45/800 in Khandala tunnel, as part of the Highway Traffic Management System.

These significant developments, slated to commence on October 10, 2023, are expected to bring about momentary disruptions in the afternoon traffic. The affected stretch will be temporarily closed to vehicular movement between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

Once the construction work is completed, traffic flow is set to resume by 2:00 PM, allowing commuters to continue their journey without further interruptions. This strategic traffic management plan aims to minimize inconvenience while ensuring the timely completion of these vital infrastructure projects.

The gantries will serve to enhance highway traffic management and safety along this major arterial route. Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere to any temporary traffic regulations in place during this period.
