Traffic Diversion Planned On Pune-Ahmednagar Highway From December 31st To January 1 For Jayastambh Salutation Ceremony

Pune, 27th December 2022: To avoid traffic jams on Pune-Ahmednagar Highway in Perne Phata area of Haveli taluka on 1st January 2023, in the background of the Jayastambh salutation ceremony, District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh ordered to close the traffic from 5 pm onwards on 31st December 2022 till midnight on 1st January 2023, and divert traffic through an alternative route.

Heavy vehicles from Ahmednagar towards Pune and Mumbai will reach Pune via Shirur, Nhawara Phata, Nhavara, Pargaon, Chauphula, Yawat, and Solapur Road.

Heavy vehicles from Pune to Ahmednagar will take the Pune-Solapur highway via Chauphula, Kedgaon, Nhavara, Shirur, and Ahmednagar roads.

Heavy vehicles and goods traffic (Truck/Tempo) going to Ahmednagar from Mumbai will go to Ahmednagar via Vadgaon Maval, Chakan, Khed, Manchar, Narayangaon, and Alephata. Also, light vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and others will go to Ahmednagar via Vadgaon Maval, Chakan, Khed, Pabal, and Shirur.

Collector Dr Deshmukh appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the administration by using this alternative route during the Jayastambha salutation ceremony.
