Pune: PCMC Extends Campaign To Regularize Illegal Tap Connections Till 31st December
Pimpri, 27th December 2022: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s campaign to stop illegal pipe connections has been extended until 31st December 2022. To regularise the domestic unauthorised pipe connections of 15 mm diameter, citizens should submit applications and get the pipe connections authorised.
Keeping in mind the complaints of the citizens of the city regarding unauthorised tap connections, a special campaign was undertaken by the PCMC to regularise the unauthorised tap connections in the city. The campaign to regularise taps has been extended to ensure that as many citizens as possible can benefit from it and that this campaign will be more effective.
Residents with unauthorised taps with a diameter of 15 mm who meet the standards should take advantage of this last opportunity to regularise their tap connections. For this, an application in the recommended structure ought to be submitted to the closest civic facility centre by 31st December 2022. For more information about this, contact the water supply department of the concerned ward office, said Joint City Engineer Sawane.
Additionally, Joint City Engineer Sawane has stated that a campaign to break unauthorised taps will begin on 1st January 2023. If unauthorised taps are discovered, a criminal case will be filed against the owners.
