Traffic Diversions In Shivajinagar For Pune Metro Work, Check Details Here

Shivajinagar, 17th May 2024: In light of upcoming metro girder installations, significant traffic diversions have been initiated for commuters traveling from Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar. These directives will be enforced from today, Friday ie May 17, until further notice.

DCP (Traffic) Rohidas Pawar has urged motorists to utilize alternative routes during this period.

Several key changes have been implemented to streamline traffic flow:

1. One-Way Routes:
– Vir Chafekar Chowk to Na Ta Wadi and KB Joshi Marg Chowk to Shimla Office Chowk (old ST Stand Road) have been designated as one-way routes for all vehicles.

2. Closure of Access Points:
– Access to Shimla Office Chowk from Vir Chafekar flyover has been closed. Motorists are advised to take a right turn from Wadi towards Shimla Office Chowk instead of the previous left turn from Chafekar Chowk.
– Entry from Vir Chafekar Chowk to Shimla Office Chowk from Fergusson College Road has been restricted. Drivers are instructed to take a right turn through Wadi Chowk and proceed to Shimla Office Chowk instead of heading straight through Chafekar Chowk.

3. Alternative Routes:
– The entry to Shivajinagar railway station from S G Barve Chowk and Shimla Office Chowk has been blocked. An alternative route has been designated via a left turn from Shimla Office Chowk to Chafekar Chowk, followed by a right turn.
– Vehicles destined for Pune University from Shimla Chowk are advised to utilize the Chafekar flyover via the LIC building side.

4. Parking Restrictions:
– Parking is prohibited for all types of vehicles from Veer Chafekar Chowk to Na Ta Wadi Chowk to Shimla Office Road.
