Traffic Diversions on Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Thursday For Safety Work Near Adoshi Tunnel

Pune, 17th June 2026: The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced a temporary traffic block on the Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway on June 18 to facilitate the removal of rocks trapped in protective netting installed as part of rockfall prevention measures near the Adoshi Tunnel at km 41/000.

The work will be carried out between 12 pm and 2 pm, during which the movement of heavy and oversized vehicles will be completely suspended on the Bor Ghat section of the expressway to ensure the safety of motorists and commuters.

According to MSRDC, all heavy and oversized vehicles travelling on the Pune-to-Mumbai carriageway via Bor Ghat will be stopped from km 59/000, while those travelling on the Mumbai-to-Pune carriageway will be prohibited from proceeding beyond km 30/000 during the two-hour traffic block.

Light motor vehicles, buses and other passenger vehicles travelling from Pune towards Mumbai will be diverted through the connecting link road from km 59/000, while similar vehicles travelling from Mumbai towards Pune will be diverted through the connecting link road from km 39/000. Vehicles heading towards Mumbai from Lonavala and Khandala, including light and heavy vehicles, will be halted at km 45/000 on the expressway.

MSRDC has appealed to motorists to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience during the scheduled maintenance work.
