National, 18th October 2018: Saransh Goila- Celebrity Chef and Co-founder of Goila Butter Chicken will be seen as a guest judge in the 10th Season of MasterChef Australia challenging the contestants to cook Indian food. He will be the first Indian Chef to have an entire segment cooking Butter Chicken and will be seen alongside judges Chef George Calombaris, Matt Preston and Chef Gary Mehigan in the special episode. The episode will air on 23rd November at 9 pm on Star World.

MasterChef Australia has garnered popularity not only in Australia but all over the world! This 10th-anniversary special season will feature Chef Saransh along with stalwarts like Gordon Ramsay and Nigella Lawson, and it promises to be really exciting.

Chef Saransh Goila will challenge the contestants on Masterchef Australia to re-create his butter chicken recipe for an intense elimination challenge, and the young chef is especially excited for the episode to air in the country.

Reminiscing about his experience as a judge on one of the biggest cooking reality shows in the world, Saransh Goila said to us, “I was representing my country so it was a pressure test for me as well. I had to put my best foot forward and make sure that our cuisine was represented well and the food tasted up to the mark

Reiterating how he went about showcasing the butter chicken recipe for contestants to re-create, Saransh said that it wasn’t all that easy. “Everyone was surprised to know that it’s not simply a dish put together using tomatoes, cream and butter, and that my version uses old-school techniques and an interesting blend of spices. I had to test my recipe four times in the Masterchef Australia kitchen before it was shared with the contestants for the final challenge“, he said. His Goila Butter Chicken has impressed non-vegetarian food lovers all over the country and it had a similar impact on Masterchef Australia judge Chef George Calombaris last year when he was in India.

Chef Saransh had met with Chef Calombaris in 2017 and had made him sample his butter chicken recipe, which the delighted chef had labelled as the “Best Butter Chicken Chef in the World!” Saransh Goila was consequently invited to host a pop-up as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival in March 2018.

Talking about his future plans, Chef Saransh said “I am determined to make Indian food global and that we have such variety and fantastic cuisines within India itself. These stories and unique experiences is what my mission is to take globally!”
