Two Cargo Trucks Crash In Accident On Highway

Pune, 5th March 2023: Today, at 06:23 in the morning, an accident occurred between two cargo trucks in front of Mahindra Showroom, Mumbai-Bangalore Highway, at Sus Khind. Two persons were trapped in the injured condition. A fire engine from Pashan Fire Station was immediately dispatched.

When the jawans reached the spot, the truck standing on the side of the road was hit by another truck from the rear. The driver and the accompanying employee were injured in the accident. At the same time, the personnel of the force quickly used fire rescue equipment (bold cutter, spader, door breaker, knife, rope) in about 20 minutes, took out the two injured and immediately sent them to Sassoon hospital in two ambulances.

The injured have sustained major injuries on their legs and are identified as Dattu Ambu Gole (60) and Suraj Surve (30), residents of the Satara district.

Fire Officer Shivaji Memane, driver Latesh Chaudhary and Tandel Vishnu Raut, and jawans Gyandev Gode, Abdul Patel, Suresh Ishte, Aunkar Deshmukh, and Vikas Kute were involved in the rescue operation.
