Two Detectives Arrested For Spying On Young Woman In Pune
Pune, 9th January 2023: Pune Police’s crime branch has arrested two private detectives for secretly stalking and taking private pictures of a woman health consultant on behalf of a business family. A case has been registered against the accused for violating the woman’s privacy.
The arrested detectives have been identified as Nilesh Laxman Singh Pardeshi (25), a resident of Vadgaon Maval, and Rahul Gunwantrao Biradar (30), a resident of Dehugaon, Maval.
According to the information given by the police, the two men were secretly taking pictures of the complainant from 1st December to 7th December last year. It was suspected that the concerned woman was being stalked by someone who was taking offensive photos and sending them to someone.
The woman then met Crime Branch ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar and filed a complaint as there is a possibility that someone will misuse the photo, use it on social media, or for other malicious activities. Accordingly, the police personnel in disguise started to search for the concerned accused.
The complainant woman had gone to a hotel in Koregaon Park on 7th January. At that time, two men were hiding in the hotel and taking pictures of her from a distance. This matter was noticed by the undercover police. Accordingly, they detained the two suspects and interrogated them.
On investigation, it was revealed that both belonged to a detective agency. The information about who gave them this job is being sought by the police. It is also being investigated whether the accused have used the woman’s photos on social media or other malicious activities.
ACP Shirgaonkar said, “Accused have taken photos of the complainant woman after stalking and violating her right of freedom of expression. Information is being sought regarding whom the accused has sent the photos. The concerned accused are detectives of a private organization and are being thoroughly investigated.”
