Pune, 20th December 2023: The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced a scheduled block for the installation of gantries on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. This construction activity is part of the Highway Traffic Management System on Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway.

On December 21, between 12 noon and 2 pm, the gantry installation work will take place at km 10.750 and km 29.200 (between Madap Tunnel and Khalapur Toll Plaza) on the Pune Channel.

During this period, all types of vehicles, including both light and heavy vehicles, will experience a complete closure. Motorists are advised to opt for alternative routes. For light vehicles (cars) traveling from Mumbai to Pune, the diversion will be directed from Shedung Fata Km 8.200. The route will then follow NH4 Old Mumbai-Pune Highway to Shingroba Ghat at Magic Point Km 42.000, ultimately re-routing to Pune Channel on the Expressway.

The State Road Development Corporation emphasizes the necessity of this temporary closure for the efficient execution of the construction project. Commuters are urged to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the specified diversions for a smooth travel experience.
