Pune 7th July 2023: The Pune Metro is likely to extend the connectivity on two stretches by July end. According to officials, two more stretches of the Pune Metro Garware College to Ruby Hall Clinic and Civil Court to Phugewadi are likely be ready for passengers by end of this month.

Earlier Commissioner of Railway Security (CMRS) inspection was conducted for these routes and the final certificate for the same is likely to come by the second week of July. Final visit of CMRS is also likely to be done soon.

Once the Metro officials receive CMRS certificate they will be ready to start the service for passengers on these two routes and the final decision to launch the service will be taken by the state government.

Currently, the metro service is functional between Garware College to Vanaz and Phugewadi to Pimpri Chinchwad stations. The two routes were inaugurated last year by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an event organised in the city.
