PMC To Form Committee To Prepare Detailed Report On Basic Facilities in Merged Villages

Pune 7th July 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation will soon form a committee of 12 members to prepare a report for the construction of basic amenities for the villages recently merged in the civic body.
After these villages merged in the civic body, a request for funds was made to the government. However, the funds have not yet been granted.
The demand to form a special committee and prepare a detailed report to assess the current state of roads, water supply, drainage, rainwater harvesting systems, waste management, footpaths, health, and other facilities in the villages, necessary works, the allocation of funds by the municipal corporation and the state government was made by locals MLAs. The issue was also highlighted to the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde following which the decision has been taken.
Meanwhile, in addition to the committee’s work, a meeting chaired by Department Commissioner Saurabh Rao was held with Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar to discuss representative appointments and other matters.
