Unique Celebration of Kojagiri Pourinma by Suryadatta Institute of Fashion Technology (SIFT) students at its Suryadatta Sadashiv Peth Campus
PUNE 25 OCT 2018 : Kojagiri Pournima celebration was organized by the students of third year of Suryadatta Fashion Design ( SIFT ) in the Sadashiv peth Campus on 23rd October 2018.
The Theme of the event was based on the marriage ceremony of the God Shiv Paravati. The students enacted different stages of the marriage function like Haldi, Mahendi and Varmala. The event was followed with the Ras Grabha and Dandiya with whole hearted participation of the all staff members and students of the Suryadatta Institute of Fashion Technology (SIFT).
The Objective of this celebration was to create awareness about rich Hindu culture and festival celebrated.
The students researched about the Maharashtrian culture and festivals and portrayed the marriage ceremony of the Gods Shiv Paravati in a grand way. The students learnt to works in the group and learnt the values of leadership and management.
The event was organized by the third year students and executed by the second year, first year and diploma students They served all the students with masala rice and masala milk.
With this activity the student will have fresh memories before they leave for Diwali vacations.
