UPSC CDS 1 Notification 2021: Combined Defence Services Examination For 345 Posts, UPSC Releases Notification

Pune, October 28, 2020: Alert for the candidates preparing for the UPSC CDS Exam. According to the examination schedule released for the year 2021 by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the notification for Combined Defence Services Examination (1) 2021 has been issued. The Commission has declared 345 vacancies for CDS (1) 2021. UPSC CDS (1) 2021 notification was released shortly on the official website of the Commission, ‘upsc.gov.in’.

The vacancies to be filled in various defence academies will also be announced through the CDS (1) Exam 2021 through notification by the Commission. These academies include the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Indian Air Force Academy and Officer Training Academy.

Applications have started

With the release of UPSC CDS 1 Notification 2021 today, the process of application has also started. Those candidates who want to apply for the proposed CDS (1) Exam 2021 on 7 February 2021 next year, should visit Union Public Service Commission application portal, ‘upsconline.nic.in’ from today 28 October or one can visit the UPSC CDS (1) 2021 registration page through the link given below. The last date for application for UPSC CDS (1) Exam 2021 has been set by the Commission as 17 November 2020.

UPSC CDS (1) 2021: eligibility criteria

The Union Public Service Commission has set different educational qualifications and other criteria according to different academies.

Indian Military Academy and Indian Officers Training Academy, Chennai – Candidates should have passed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institute. Also, the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2 July 1997 and not later than 1 July 2002.

Indian Naval Academy – Candidates should have a degree in engineering from a recognized university or institute. Also, the candidate should not have been born before 2 July 1997 and after 1 July 2002.

Air Force Academy – Candidates should have passed a degree (including Physics and Mathematics subjects up to 10 + 2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering from a recognized university or institute. Also, the candidate should not have been born before 2 July 1997 and after 1 July 2001.
