UPSC Civil Service Pre-Examination Postponed To October 10; Check Details Here

New Delhi, 13th May 2021: The Union Public Service Commission has postponed the Civil Service Preliminary Examination 2021. The exam was to be held on June 27. It has been decided to postpone this test in view of the increasing infection of coronavirus.

This exam will be held on October 10, 2021. For this, a notification has been issued on the official website of UPSC. Applications for UPSC Civil Service Examination 2021 and Indian Forest Service Examination 2021 were taken till March 24.

UPSC conducts the Civil Service Examination every year in three phases – Preliminary, Main, and Interview – in which officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and others are selected. The UPSC issued a statement saying that in view of the circumstances arising out of the coronavirus, the Union Public Service Commission has postponed the Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination 2021 which was to be held on June 27, 2021. Now, this exam will be held on 10th October 2021.

For the pre-examination, two papers will be of objective type, the marks of this examination will not be included in the final merit list. To apply in UPSC (Civil Services Prelim examination 2021), the candidate should have a graduate degree from any recognized institute.
