Pune/Delhi, 19th July 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has completed a comprehensive investigation into allegations against Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar, a provisional candidate from the Civil Services Examination-2022. The probe revealed that Khedkar manipulated her identity to exceed the permissible number of examination attempts. She altered various personal details, including her name, her parents’ names, photograph, signature, email ID, mobile number, and address, to gain unauthorized advantages.

In response, the UPSC has initiated several actions. These include filing a First Information Report (FIR) with the police and issuing a Show Cause Notice (SCN) regarding the cancellation of her Civil Services Examination-2022 candidature. The UPSC is also considering debarment from future examinations and selections, in line with its examination rules.

The UPSC emphasized its commitment to upholding constitutional obligations and maintaining the highest standards of integrity and fairness in its examination processes. The Commission reiterated its dedication to preserving the trust and credibility it has earned from the public and candidates.

“The UPSC has earned significant trust and credibility through its rigorous processes. We are firmly committed to maintaining this high level of trust and ensuring that our examination processes remain fair and uncompromised,” the UPSC stated in a press release.
