UPSC to Open “Correction Window” for NDA & CDS Exam Applicants for Three Days
New Delhi, 27th June 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a one-time “Correction Window” for candidates applying for the NDA & NA Examination (II), 2025, and CDS Examination (II), 2025. The window will allow applicants to rectify any mistakes made during the application process.
The three-day window is a measure to help aspirants correct errors in the details provided in their application forms, including the Common Application Form (CAF) and Examination Application Form. The move comes after some candidates encountered issues with document attachment and information submission, despite multiple checks in place within the new UPSC Online Application Portal.
Details of the Correction Window
Dr. Ajay Kumar, Chairman of UPSC, confirmed that the correction facility will be available as a one-time measure, emphasizing that the new online portal includes several checks before the final submission. However, some applicants still made errors, which led to the decision to introduce the correction window.
“The portal is new, and applicants are filling in their information for the first time. As such, UPSC is giving an opportunity to correct and rectify any wrong details,” Dr. Kumar stated.
The correction window will be available soon after the necessary software module is developed and tested by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). Applicants who wish to use the correction facility are advised to monitor the UPSC website for further announcements, including the exact dates for the correction period.
The New UPSC Online Application Portal
Launched on 28th May 2025, the new Online Application Portal replaced the previous One Time Registration (OTR) module. The portal now consists of four sections on the homepage: Account Creation, Universal Registration, Common Application Form, and Examinations. Three of these sections are common to all examinations, while the fourth part, “Examinations,” contains specific modules for individual exams.
The new portal has been designed to simplify the application process for candidates. However, this update has led to some challenges, prompting UPSC to offer the correction window to assist applicants in submitting error-free applications.
Candidates Encouraged to Review Application Forms
Candidates applying for the NDA & NA (II) and CDS (II) exams are encouraged to review their application forms thoroughly before submitting them. The correction window offers a second chance to make necessary amendments, but it will only be available for a limited time.
