Varanasi, 17th May 2022: After the completion of the three days’ work of the survey of Gyanvapi Masjid in the courtyard of Shrikashi Vishwanath Corridor on Monday, the report was to be presented in the court today. The survey team informed the court that it would take some time to compile its detailed survey report. For this reason, the court has given them time to present the survey report to the court in two days.

The Varanasi court has removed Ajay Mishra, the commissioner of the team that surveyed the Gyanvapi mosque. He has been relieved from the post of Court Commissioner.

The remaining two commissioners have been given time to present the survey report in two days. Ajay Mishra has been removed for making public the proceedings of the commission. Ajay Singh and Vishal Singh will present the report in court.

Ajay Kumar Mishra said, “I have not done any such work which will disturb the confidentiality of the court. I was removed due to the allegations from Vishal Ji. I will respect the order of the court but it will always hurt me that Vishal Ji has let me down to fulfil his ambition.”

The survey report of Varanasi’s Gyanvapi Masjid complex could not be presented in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Ravi Kumar Diwakar today. The report has not yet been fully prepared. Ajay Singh, the assistant advocate commissioner appointed by the court for the commission’s action, said that the court had ordered to submit the survey report today, but the full report has not been prepared by the advocate commissioner yet.

He said, “We submitted an application in the court today and requested the date for the second day. We have got time from the court to present the report in two days. We will present the survey report in court after two days. There are hundreds of photos and hours of videos during the survey of Gyanvapi Masjid. After considering all these, it will take time to prepare the report.”

Assistant Court Commissioner Ajay Pratap Singh said that the survey lasted for three days i.e. from 14 to 16 May. So far only 50 per cent of its report has been prepared.
