Verrock Vengsarkar Academy, Recreation Blue Register Dominant Wins in Ecole Trophy U-19 Women’s One-Day Tournament
Pune, 25th November 2025: Verrock Vengsarkar Academy and Recreation Blue teams defeated their respective opponents in the ‘Ecole Trophy’ Under-19 Women’s One-Day Interclub Cricket Tournament organized by the Ecole Sports Foundation.
Tournament being held at the Ecole Cricket Ground in Bhare Gaon, Verrock Vengsarkar Academy easily defeated Recreation Blue team by 91 runs on the strength of Pranavi Gadhave’s 58 runs and got off to a winning start. Batting first, Verrock Vengsarkar Academy set a target of 215 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 42 overs. Pranavi Gadhave scored 58 runs in 90 balls with the help of 5 fours. Tanvi Patil (37 runs), Arya Deshmukh (29 runs) and Khushi Bharti (27 runs) contributed runs to tie the team’s innings. Chasing this target, Recreation Blue team’s innings ended at 124 runs in 34 overs. Prerna Deshmukh (34 runs) and Avani Patil (21 runs) fought back. Pranavi Gadhave, Nirali Rane and Prachiti Patil took two wickets each to seal the team’s victory.
On the back of an unbeaten century by Shriya Tikone, Recreation Blue team defeated Warriors Cricket Academy by 7 wickets and won their first win in the tournament. Batting first, Warriors Cricket Academy scored 172 runs in 30 overs. Sneha Shinde (37 runs not out), Sahej Kaur (36 runs) and Yagya Rajput (32 runs) played short knocks to tie the team’s innings. Recreation Blue achieved this target in 29.2 overs and lost 3 wickets. Shriya Tikone scored an unbeaten 100 runs in 86 balls with 15 fours and 1 six, leading the team to victory.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Ecole Foundation Directors Shubendra Bhandarkar, Anshul Sharma and Sian Sengupta. Tejas Matapurkar, Sumedh Londhe, Prabhakar Thakur, Manoj Pavale and Shashank Joshi were present on this occasion.
