Vicky Kaushal’s New Film On The Second Anniversary Of Uri The Surgical Strike, This Time The Story Of Ashwatthama Of Mahabharata

Mumbai, January 11, 2021: After the highly successful film ‘Uri- The Surgical Strike’ in 2019, director Aditya Dhar announced the new film The Immortal Ashwatthama starring Vicky Kaushal. A first look poster of the film was released on the second anniversary of Uri.

Vicky Kaushal shared the poster on social media expressing his excitement as he wrote “Overwhelmed and Ecstatic! On the 2nd Anniversary of “Uri – The surgical strike”, the team gives you a glimpse into the world of #TheImmortalAshwatthama. Cannot wait to get on this journey with the dream team.” The poster illustrates a perfect blend between Indian Mythology and Technology. Vicky Kaushal will be seen in the role of Ashwatthama in this sci-fi genre film. The film is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

Aditya Dhar made his directorial debut with ‘Uri- The Surgical Strike’ released on January 11 in 2019. ‘Uri – The Surgical Strike’ was the story of the airstrike in the Pakistani areas of the Indian Air Force. It was well-received by the audience and the film was a great success at the box office. The film had a net collection of 244 crores after taking an opening of about 8 crores. This was the first major success in Vicky Kaushal’s career in a solo lead role. Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal were seen in important roles in the film. Vicky Kaushal was given the National Film Award for Best Actor for this film, while Aditya Dhar was given the Best Director Award.

In addition to The Immortal Ashwatthama, Vicky Kaushal is set to appear in biopics based on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh. Talking about Vicky’s personal life, the rumour of his affair with Katrina Kaif continue. On certain occasions, both have been spotted together. However, both have neither confirmed nor officially said anything about it.
