VODAFONE offers ‘Double Data’ to prepaid customers
Pune, August 08, 2015: To further encourage adoption of data as well as to reward existing data users, Vodafone, Maharashtra & Goa’s leading telecom service provider has launched ‘Double Data’ offer. Under the offer pre-paid customers availing data recharge via 121 or through the special offers section on the Vodafone website and MyVodafone app, will enjoy double the value of the chosen data pack. This offer is valid on all Vodafone pre-paid data recharge packs offered in Circle name starting1st week of August till 30th September 2015.
Vodafone is one of India’s leading mobile service providers with 25.1% revenue market share in Maharashtra & Goa circle. With 6.5 million data users in March 2015, out of a total subscriber base of 17.4 million, Vodafone has seen overall data usage in 2014-15 growing at 94 percent.
Staying ahead of market trends, Vodafone has successfully catered to evolving customer requirements. With the aspirational value of owning a smarter phone continuously ascending, 72% percent of Vodafone’s user base in Maharashtra & Goa circle now has data enabled handsets leading to increasing user base of mobile internet and greater consumption of data per user.
Elaborating the benefits of the “Double Data”offer, Ashish Chandra,Business Head- Maharashtra & Goa, Vodafone India,said, “More than 50% of our subscribers with data-enabled handsets today use mobile internet, primarily for surfing, browsing, Email, social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc. Over the last few quarters both the number of data users as well as the consumption of data per user has significantly risen. This ‘Double Data’ offer is our way of thanking our valued pre-paid customers for choosing Vodafone as their preferred mobile internet provider. We are offering them double value and encouraging new data users to explore the wonders of the internet. A host of data packs to cater to various customer categories and usage patterns, beginning from as low as INR 19 are being offered.” Vodafone is also launching a high decibel marketing campaign across TV, OOH, retail and digital in order to connect with the target customers and increase awareness about the Double Data Offer.
