Wakad: Cab Driver Ferrying Passengers To Mumbai Looted At Bhumkar Chowk

Pune, February 15, 2021: A cab driver was looted at Bhumkar Chowk around 2 am on February 13. Hinjawadi police have registered a case and arrested four persons.

 

According to police, the cab driver was taking passengers from Bhosari to Mumbai. Around 2 am on Saturday, as the driver took a turn at Bhumkar chowk for going towards Mumbai lane on the Pune-Bangalore highway, the cab was blocked by the robbers with two-wheelers. They threatened the cab driver with a knife, snatched cash and mobile phone from him and fled away.

 

Balasaheb Bandagar, a cab driver from Kalewadi, lodged a complaint at Hinjawadi police station against the unidentified robbers. Police have since investigated and arrested the four. The accused persons have been identified as Salman Shaikh, Shubham Jadhav, Prem Potdar and Lalit Karotia.
