Wakad: Relatives Of Deceased Patient Ransack Hospital, Beat Staff

Pimpri, September 29, 2020: A man was brought to a hospital at Wakad in an unconscious state and was declared dead by the doctors. Upset over the death, his relatives allegedly beat the employees of the hospital and vandalized an ECG machine. The incident took place at the NRS hospital in Wakad.
A case has been filed against Karim Shaikh, Muktar Shaikh and their two accomplices. Narayan Survase, a resident of Wakad has lodged a complaint against them. The name of the deceased patient is Salim Shaikh.
One Sunday, a group of 10-15 people, including the accused, brought Salim Shaikh in an unconscious state to the NRS hospital at Kalewadi Phata around 7:30 pm. However, when they learnt that the patient died before the treatment, his relatives Karim Shaikh, Muktar Shaikh and their accomplices started to shout and abuse, disturbing the atmosphere of the hospital. They beat the security guards, nurses and vandalized the ECG machine. Wakad police station is investigating the case.
