Water Crisis Hits Pimpri Chinchwad: PCMC Warns of Low Pressure in Supply
Pimpri Chinchwad, 13th June 2024: From today until 15th June, the water supply to Moshi, Charholi, Chovisawadi, Wadmukhwadi, Chikhali, Dudulgaon, Bhosari, Dighi, and Indrayani Nagar, provided by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), is expected to be irregular, disrupted, and low in pressure.
The PCMC’s Water Supply Department has urged residents to use water sparingly during this period. Embankment repairs on the Indrayani River, conducted by the Pune Irrigation Department, have resulted in reduced water discharge from the Andhra Dam.
As a result, Shrikant Savane, Chief Engineer of the PCMC’s Water Supply Department, has issued a plea to residents in the affected areas to conserve water during this time.
