Pune, 24th December 2024: Residents of East Pune should brace for a disruption in water supply on Thursday, December 26, as maintenance work on the Harkanagar Bhavani Peth water pipeline of Parvati water centre and the common water supply scheme is scheduled.

According to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Water Supply Department, the water supply will remain suspended throughout the day in several areas of the eastern part of the city.

The PMC has also informed that on the following day, Friday, December 27, water supply will resume but is expected to be delayed and with low pressure.

Areas Affected:

The water cut will impact the following areas:

  • Parvati MLR Tank Area:
    • Shankar Sheth Road Area
    • Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road Area
    • Guruwar Peth, Budhwar Peth, Ganj Peth, and Nana Peth
    • Bhavani Peth, Quartergate, and Somwar Peth
    • Lohia Nagar and Ghorpade Peth
    • General Arun Kumar Vaidya Stadium Area
    • Area behind Laxminarayan Cinema
    • Parts of Parvati Darshan and Mitramandal Colony
    • Sarasbagh Area, Khadakmal Ali, Mukundnagar
    • Parts of Maharshi Nagar, Timvi Colony, and Meenatai Thackeray Industrial Estate
    • Apsara Cinema Area, Mira Anand Area, and Shreyas Society

Residents in these areas are advised to store adequate water in advance to manage their requirements during the disruption.
