Waterlogging Near Surya Electronics Disrupts Traffic on Pune-Nashik Highway; Chakan-Bound Vehicles Stopped
Chakan, 6th July 2026: Traffic towards Chakan on the Pune-Nashik Highway came to a complete halt after severe waterlogging was reported near Surya Electronics.
According to local authorities, the accumulated rainwater has made the stretch unsafe for vehicular movement, forcing the suspension of both two-wheeler and four-wheeler traffic heading towards Chakan.
Motorists travelling from Chakan towards Pune have been advised to take the Alandi Phata route as an alternative, if necessary, until normal traffic movement is restored.
Commuters are urged to exercise caution, avoid the waterlogged stretch, and follow traffic advisories while travelling, as heavy rainfall continues to affect several parts of Pune district.
