Pune, 27th August 2023: After a two-week absence, rain has staged a comeback, expected to persist for the next five to six days. This positive forecast comes from weather expert Ramchandra Sable, bringing relief to Maharashtra.

Anticipated rainfall ranges from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm across six western Maharashtra districts: Ahmednagar, Pune, Solapur, Satara, Sangli, and Kolhapur. Conversely, the Konkan Division, covering Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigad, Thane, and Palghar districts, will experience minimal rainfall, likely measuring between 1 mm to 15 mm.

In the Marathwada division, encompassing Dharashiv, Beed, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Jalna, Parbhani, and Nanded, slight rainfall of 2 mm to 4 mm is expected. In remaining districts, rainfall may vary from 0.1 to 1.3 mm, as forecasted by Sable.

He noted that certain districts remain on the brink of drought due to insufficient rainfall.
