Western Union gives you a chance to win up to one lakh rupees every day, for 30 days this Ramadan
Month-long activities aim to make people’s lives better, and drive positive societal change
Pune, India – June 10, 2015 – The Western Union Company, a leader in global payment services, is offering its receivers a chance to win up to one lakh rupees every day during the 30 days of Ramadan this year as it launches the ‘30 Days of Betters’ campaign. Money transfer recipients in selected locations in India will get a chance to contribute the amount they win towards the betterment of society or oneself during the 30 days of Ramadan.
30 Days of Betters is a community-building exercise that will provide rewards to individuals, so they can perform acts of kindness aimed towards benefitting individual, or society at large. The programme has been launched simultaneously in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Qatar, Kuwait, Indonesia and India, and will run until Eid Al Fitr in early July.
During the 30 days of Ramadan, lucky draw winners will identify 30 small yet significant acts of goodness and charity throughout the country that one can do in their individual capacity to bring happiness to one’s lives. Each money transfer sent via Western Union® services from the United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, United Kingdom, Australia or New Zealand during the promotion period that commenced on the 6th of June and ends on the 5th of July, 2016 and paid out in the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka or Kerala will enable the recipient to enter the daily lucky draws. There will be a total of 30 lucky draws and 786 winners. 30 grand prize winners–who will each receive 10 times the amount of money received as indicated in their transaction receipts (subject to a maximum amount of Rs 100,000), and 756 “regular prize” winners-who will receive Rs 2,100 each will be drawn.

A lucky draw will be organized each day to announce winners, starting from the 13th of June and will continue for the next 30 days. Western Union will also launch a campaign video where five of the good deeds will be captured on video.
30 Days of Betters programme is a part of Western Union’s® Chain of Betters which funds projects that make lasting positive change for communities around the world and aims to move money for better. With the movement of money this festive season, people will have a chance to do a good endeavor for their loved ones or the society.
