Koregaon Park, 25th January 2026: Pune Police have booked two persons, including an event manager associated with the Westin Hotel, for allegedly causing noise disturbance to residents in the Mundhwa area by playing loud DJ music during a late-night event.

The incident occurred on the night of January 23 at the lawn of the Westin Hotel, where a corporate award function was underway. According to police, high-decibel DJ music and loudspeakers were used for an extended period, leading to complaints from people living nearby.

The accused have been identified as Nilesh Sundarrao Naik (39), an event manager residing at Mundhwa, and Dhanaji Manik Rajguru (39), a sound system operator from Tadiwala Road, Pune.

Police Constable Akshay Shinde lodged the complaint at Mundhwa Police Station after the police control room received repeated calls from residents about the noise. A police team reached the venue and instructed the organisers to immediately stop the DJ system.

Investigations revealed that the event was allegedly conducted without the required prior permission from the authorities. A case has been registered against both men for disobeying lawful orders and causing public nuisance.
