Whatever I am today is because of Pune University: Dr. S.B. Mujumdar
Pune, 10th February 2025: “I consider Pune University as my second mother. I consider myself to be born a second time while studying here. This birth is intellectual, spiritual, and taught me life in general. Whatever I am today is only because of Pune University, Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, Founder and President of Symbiosis and Chancellor, Symbiosis International University shared these emotional thoughts today at the 76th Anniversary Function of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
The 76th anniversary function of Savitribai Phule Pune University was held on Monday, February 10, in the university premises. On this occasion, “Lifetime Achievement Awards” were given to the eminent personalities from various fields with the aim of glorifying the work done by them during their entire lifetime.
Dr. S. B. Majumdar, Founder and President of Symbiosis and Chancellor, Symbiosis International University was honoured by Pune University for his remarkable work in the field of education. Mr. Chandrakant Patil was invited as the chief guest for this function, he was present online. The award distribution ceremony was held at the hands of Vidyavachaspati Dr. Shankar Abhyankar.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Majumdar said, education has a unique power which develops an individual, the development of an individual brightens the future of his family, the development of families is the development of that state and the development of the state is the development of the country. He also expressed the belief that education will always have a unique importance. He further said that it was Pune University that gave him the concept of establishing Symbiosis.
