4, December, 2020: When Pune’s Vibhuti Pandey won the coveted title of ‘Mrs West India 2020 – Silver category’, her joy knew no bounds and her mantra ‘when you believe in yourself you become unstoppable’, was indeed validated. Through sheer hardwork and dedication she walked away with the prestigious crown from amongst 47 finalists at the glittering finale of ‘Mrs West India – Empress of West India 2020’ – Season 3, held at the Alila Diwa Goa, on 28th Nov 2020. That’s not all – her confident persona also helped her bag the subtitle of ‘Mrs Confident – Silver Category’ at the same platform!

“My journey to the pageant began when I determined to transform myself from an overweight person to becoming my fittest best, and I succeeded in losing 25kgs in a little over a year”, smiles the finance manager from Deutshe Bank, Pune. “After this transition in my life I decided to give pageantry a try. And my search led me to the best in the industry, Diva Pageants, managed and organised by Anjana and Karl Mascarenhas. Going through the very fruitful and life transforming grooming sessions imparted by them, I became an even better version of myself, and I will always be grateful to them”.

Hailing from a small town Gondia in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, daughter of Dr Dilip and Sandhya Pandey, she has been brought up with family values of gender equality, fulfilling all the aspirations a woman can dream of and has been instilled a never to give up attitude. After pursuing her MBA in Finance from Hyderabad she now has a successful career as a finance manager at Deutsche Bank, Pune.

“But of course winning the crown wouldn’t have been possible without the unstinted support of my husband, Amit, who works at an MNC as Engineering Director, and my biggest motivator, my 11 year old son Vedant”, beams Vibhuti. She finds a friend in her younger sister Vidhi and brother-in-law Abhishek and wants her niece Archisha to carry her legacy forward.

An avid solo traveller, Vibhuti loves to explore new places, cuisines and cultures, and after having already covered half the globe, she wishes to put her travelling shoes on again for travelling to the other half of the globe.

Looking forward, she wants to inspire other women to give wings to their dreams and shout out to participate in other titles organised by DIVA Pageants. As she believes that while women don a lot of hats in life, it’s very important to maintain an individual identity too. “If you keep following the footprints of others, when would you leave yours”, believes Vibhuti. In fact, after the success of this pageant, Vibhuti has already started to groom herself to participate at an international pageant in 2021, through Diva Pageants where she will be representing India!

Her family is already very socially responsible and visit old age homes and orphanages regularly. But Vibhuti wants to take this a step further – by combining the old age home and orphanage, with a thought that senior citizens would get the joy of playing with grandchildren, and orphan kids would get much deserving love from grandparents! Indeed a noble thought!
