Rohtak, 3rd March 2025: The Haryana Police have arrested Sachin, a resident of Gal Khairpur in Bahadurgarh, in connection with the murder of Congress worker Himani Narwal. Her body was found inside a suitcase near a highway in Rohtak on March 1. According to Sampla DSP Rajnish Kumar, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the case. The police have recovered Narwal’s phone and are utilising cyber forensics and forensic science laboratory (FSL) techniques to investigate all possible angles.

The accused Sachin is 32 years old in the Himani murder case. He is also the father of two children. According to the information received, he has a love marriage and his wife is a Bania. Sachin’s father drives the car. He has a mobile shop in Kanoda village. The accused Sachin has two siblings.

Himani Narwal’s mother alleged that her daughter’s growing influence in the Congress party had led to hostility, even resulting in a confrontation at the party office. Grief-stricken, the family initially refused to claim her body after the post-mortem, insisting they would do so only when all those responsible for her murder were brought to justice. Speaking to ANI, Himani’s brother Jatin confirmed that one suspect had been arrested and that the family would now proceed with her final rites. Her uncle also voiced their demand for justice, stating, “No matter who the culprit is, we want justice.”
