New Delhi, 11th August 2021: The Central Government said on Tuesday that the picture with the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the certificate to be issued after getting the anti-Covid-19 vaccine is in the wider public interest and it certifies that all the rules of prevention of the pandemic are being followed even after vaccination. This was stated by the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Bharati Pawar in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.

She said that the format of the Covid-19 vaccination certificates is standardized and in line with the developed guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) on certificates.

Pawar said that in view of the changing nature of the pandemic, following appropriate COVID practices has emerged as one of the most important measures to contain the spread of this virus.

She said, “The photo with the message from the Prime Minister in the vaccination certificates emphasizes the message of creating awareness about the importance of following COVID-19 proper behaviour even after vaccination in the wider public interest.”

Pawar said that it is the moral and policy responsibility of the government to disseminate such important messages to the people in the most effective manner.

“The decisions to draft vaccination certificates in compliance with WHO norms on vaccination certificates, including a message about the importance of covid appropriate behavior even after vaccination, have been taken keeping all these facts in mind”, she added.
