Pune, 21st July 2022: The first annual meeting of the United Hospitality Association (UHA), which brings together hoteliers, was held in Pune yesterday.

The meeting was started by lightening the lamp by Mayor Muralidhar Mohol, businessman Fattechand Ranka, Mahendra Pitalia, Association President Sandeep Narang, and Vice President Adv. Ajinkya Shinde were present on the occasion.

 

Also, Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty made an appearance through video conferencing for the launch of the Vayu app. On this occasion, Association Secretary Darshan Rawal, Treasurer Sameer Shetty, Mahuva Narang, Rahul Ramnath, Adv. Ajinkya Udane and other dignitaries were present.

 

Speaking on this occasion, Mohol informed that during the time of Corona, a lot of hoteliers had faced a financial loss. “As the first citizen of this city, I stood by these hoteliers. Hoteliers suffered the most during Corona. At the same time, the hoteliers helped the common citizens during that difficult time. I will request the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister to withdraw the cases filed against the hoteliers due to the agitation during Corona. Hoteliers have done the work of preserving the food culture of Pune during the Corona period,” Mohol added further.

 

Businessman Fattechand Ranka informed that the first meeting of hoteliers after the Corona period was held with enthusiasm. “In this, big challenges will be faced by the hoteliers in the future, but the hoteliers here should not be afraid and stand firm. At the same time, hoteliers should maintain their unity. As the President of Pune Traders Federation, I will stand firmly with them,” Ranka added further.

 

Expressing his opinion, Mahendra Pitalia stated that the hoteliers should identify the challenges that will come in the future and plan solutions for them. At the same time, it is equally important to survive in this business.

President of United Hospitality Association Sandeep Narang said that this organization was started by five people two years ago. At present, the organization has more than 700 members.

 

“More than 200 members from Pune, Maharashtra and India participated in the recently held meeting. We will have our own app in the future. In this, hoteliers will get reliable information on it. We are also going to raise a calamity fund,” Narang added further.
