B.G.Kolse Patil said, ”The Elgar Parishad happened three years ago and the investigation is completed and the charge sheet has been submitted before the court by Pune city police. The chargesheet means investigation is complete. Now the Maharashtra government was planning to form an Special Investigation Team (SIT) to assess evidences against the accused persons and investigation done by Pune City Police. However, the BJP led central government has transferred the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). When Pune police investigated the case, BJP government was in power in Maharashtra. They have done something wrong, hence they transferred the case to NIA now. We will soon file petition in the court against this transfer of case.”
