Pune, 15th November 2025: The winter chill tightened its grip over Pune on Saturday, as the district recorded a minimum temperature of 9.7°C. This marks the second consecutive day of single-digit temperatures, indicating a continued downward trend in mercury levels.

Earlier on Friday, the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Haveli station recorded a minimum temperature of 9.6°C, the lowest so far in the district. On Saturday, the Malin station registered another single-digit temperature of 9.7°C. Other parts of the district also saw a dip in temperatures, with at least six stations recording minimums around 10°C.

In Pune city, the minimum temperature has been steadily decreasing since November 6, dropping from 18.6°C to 11.2°C in just a week. On Saturday, the Shivajinagar station recorded a minimum of 11.2°C, three degrees below normal, while Pashan recorded 10°C.

The fall in minimum temperatures brought with it a gentle morning fog, lending the city a serene start to the day. Light mist hovered over open fields and tree-lined roads, creating a picturesque winter scene that early risers paused to admire. The cool, crisp air and subdued visibility added to the charm, making the morning feel refreshingly calm and seasonally delightful.
