Woman delivers 4 babies in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow , May 31, 2019 : A 27-year-old woman, who was expecting her first child, has delivered four babies at a hospital here.
Rehana, a resident of Gonda district, developed labour pains on Wednesday following which she was taken to the district hospital. However, doctors referred her to Lucknow as her condition was critical.
She underwent operation to deliver the babies – two boys and two girls.
Dr Asha Mishra said that it was rare to conceive quadruplets through natural means. “We have seen such cases through IVF technology,” she said.
The doctor said that the babies weighed around 1.5 kilogram even though it was a premature delivery.
Rehana’s husband Zia-ul-Haq said that after years the couple has got good news of children. “We were waiting for the last six years. We had planned for two kids but Allah has given us four kids. We will give equal education to all”, he added.
